OK, everyone... I'm putting it ALL out there... Public weight loss is nothing new for me. Nearly 3 years ago, I participated in a very public weight loss challenge sponsored by the Sun-Sentinel (sorry Gail and Laura for "swearing" on the blog). Unflattering picture on the front page of the lifestyle section, and my weight, yes my 'actual' weight (after dropping a few lbs prior to the official start) posted in black and white for all of the world (or the newspaper circulation) to see.
So, embarking on my Nutrisystem program next week, blogging about it, vlogging, tweeting, facebooking, etc., YOU, the readers and followers and facebook friends will be my accountability.
I'm weak. I'm lazy. I like to take the easy way around things. Nutrisystem will provide me the structure that I will need in my eating. I downloaded the iPhone app which I can see will be essential to my success (watch for a vlog about it). I'm really excited about dropping the lbs., and I'm already planning my life AFTER NutriSystem.
So, with all of that said, I present to you, the MOST UNFLATTERING BEFORE PICTURE that I could find on my hard drive... It was taken at Jonathan Dickinson State Park atop a lookout overlooking the intracoastal and the Atlantic ocean. It's about an hour's drive from my house, and nearly 100 steps up to the vantage point. I've decided that this will be the place where I update my progress photos. Please, right now, take notice of the giant belly, ginormous arms and the extra chin or twelve that currently reside on my frame. This photo is entitled "before" and I can't wait for the "after."
